Sustainable Living at Kruger

WolfPack has been committed to sustainable living since our inception and are proud to announce our partnership with The Ajubatus Foundation and Stellenbosch University to further our efforts in eco-friendly initiatives around Africa.
We recently spent time with The Ajubatus Foundation (a Non-Profit Organisation) and a team from Stellenbosch University in The Kruger National Park to kick-start a project that focuses on modular sustainable living, education facilities, medical facilities and off-the-grid housing units which will be specifically designed to work in the natural environment and without any impact to the breathtakingly beautiful Kruger National Park.
Sustainable Living
In an effort to provide the biggest impact and to promote the youth of the region, our initial efforts will be based at Beretta Primary School, on the outskirts of The Kruger National Park. We are working alongside The Ajubatus Foundation and the team from Stellenbosch University to develop sustainable living initiatives at the school such as modular classrooms, medical facilities and food production facilities.
During our recent trip, we travelled to several camps in the area to explore the implementation of off-the-grid housing (a core WolfPack specialty), with the aim to work harmoniously with the natural environment and without impact to the treasured wildlife - the cornerstone of the local economy.
Shipping Container Farming
Among these initiatives are sustainable food production through the implementation of Grow Houses – modular hydroponic shipping containers which promoted controlled environments to produce fruits and vegetables and promote healthy living without impacting the environment.
These Grow Houses result in substantially higher yields in a shorter time frame and without the large land requirements of traditional farming methods. They additionally allow for the production of a particular fruit or vegetable that would otherwise be difficult to produce in a specific region.
Farming in shipping containers are just one of the latest revolutionary innovations in environmentally friendly initiatives that form the core focus of our efforts around Africa.
